ROLL Packaging declaration of compliance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), Article 33 — communication of information on substances in articles.
ROLL's role under REACH
ROLL SNC di Pini Sergio & C. operates as a downstream user under Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH). ROLL does not manufacture or import chemical substances; instead, ROLL purchases finished raw materials (polymers, paper, steel, additives) from upstream suppliers who are themselves responsible for the registration, evaluation and authorisation of the substances they place on the EU market.
As a downstream user, ROLL is not subject to the direct registration obligations set out in Title II of REACH for the substances contained in its products. ROLL's responsibility consists of collecting, verifying and communicating compliance information received from its suppliers, in accordance with the obligations applicable to downstream users.
SVHC declaration
On the basis of declarations received from its raw material suppliers, ROLL declares that the products supplied do not contain Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) included in the current ECHA Candidate List at a concentration equal to or greater than 0.1% by weight (w/w), in accordance with Article 33 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
Communication obligation
Where a substance included in the ECHA Candidate List is present in a ROLL article above the 0.1% w/w threshold, ROLL will provide its customers with sufficient information to allow safe use of the article, including, as a minimum, the name of the substance, as required by Article 33(1) of REACH.
Information availability
ROLL is committed to monitoring updates to the ECHA Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern, which is periodically revised by the European Chemicals Agency. The current version of the Candidate List is available on the official ECHA portal at echa.europa.eu.
