Roll chocks and roll wedges stop rolls and reels from rolling in storage and on trucks, and they replace wooden wedges cut and nailed by hand. ROLL designs and supplies plastic wedges in two families: a premium reusable series for internal use and an economy one-way series for shipping.
Every wedge in this collection is placed under the roll on a flat surface: floor, shelf or pallet. According to the product data, the KU04 series is listed for roll diameters from 160 to 1,100 mm and comes in two lengths: KU04-570 and KU04-1143. The KU10 series is listed for roll diameters from 160 to 1,200 mm; the 260 mm KU10 wedge is also available in orange (KU10C), with non-slip rubber pads (KU10-2S, KU10C-2S) and as a kit (KU10-ST).

Frequently asked questions
How many times can a wedge be reused?
It depends on roll weight, handling and how the wedges are stored between uses. KU04 wedges are designed for repeated use over many cycles, while KU10 wedges are intended for a single shipment. We do not state a fixed number of cycles: inspect the wedges before each use and replace any that are cracked or deformed.
Plastic or wood wedges for shipping?
Plastic wedges have a consistent shape, release no splinters and need no cutting or nails on site. The KU10 series was developed as a one-way replacement for wooden wedges in shipping. Our guide below compares both options.
Which wedge for my roll diameter?
Check the diameter range of each product: KU10 wedges are listed for rolls from 160 to 1,200 mm in diameter, KU04 wedges for rolls from 160 to 1,100 mm. Also consider roll weight and whether the wedges travel. In borderline cases, send us diameter, width and weight of your rolls and we will suggest a model.
Are they suitable for food or hygienic areas?
Plastic wedges can be washed and do not release wood splinters or fibres, which helps where cleanliness matters. Whether they suit a specific food or hygienic area depends on your own requirements and assessment, so ask us for material information before use.
What is the KU10-ST kit?
KU10-ST is a kit made of two boxes of KU10 wedges plus one pack of strips, so wedges and strips can be ordered together for shipping. The minimum order quantity is 320.
