End Walls, End Plates & Core Plugs

Our plastic reel end walls (also called end plates or roll flanges) and core plugs protect roll edges and cores during storage and transport, and keep each roll suspended by its core so the roll surface does not touch the pallet or the floor.

The collection covers end walls from 330×330 mm to 1040×1000 mm with an integrated plug for 3" (76 mm) or 6" (152 mm) cores, models with 70 mm or 150 mm plugs, and no-plug versions with a 6" hole. Lightweight FL-51 end pads (220×220 mm) and the separate core plugs PL-01 and PL-07 complete the range.

How to choose

Start from the inside diameter of your core, then pick an end wall larger than the outer diameter of your roll.

With or without plug, with or without flaps. Standard models have an integrated plug that fits into the core. No-plug versions (suffix S) have an open 6" hole instead and can be combined with a separate core plug. In 840×800 mm and 1040×1000 mm you can also choose with or without flaps (suffix A).

Frequently asked questions

3 inch or 6 inch core: how do I know which one I have?

Measure the inside diameter of the core. About 76 mm means a 3 inch core, about 152 mm means a 6 inch core. If you measure 70 mm, 110 mm or 150 mm, look at the models with those plug sizes.

Which end wall size do I need for my roll diameter?

Choose an end wall whose shorter side is larger than the outer diameter of your roll, so the roll stays suspended and its surface does not touch the pallet. If your roll diameter is close to the size of an end wall, move up to the next size. For heavy rolls, ask us before ordering.

Should I choose a version with or without plug?

With an integrated plug, end wall and plug are a single part. No-plug versions have an open 6 inch hole and can be used together with a separate core plug such as PL-07.

Are the end walls and core plugs reusable?

They are rigid plastic parts and can be reused when they come back undamaged. Check each piece for cracks before every trip.

Can I use only core plugs without end walls?

Yes: PL-01 and PL-07 alone close and protect the ends of 3 inch and 6 inch cores. On their own, however, they do not keep the roll surface off the pallet: when the roll must stay suspended, use end walls or a model with an integrated plug.
