Transit. Orders travel by groupage road freight on pallets. Transit time depends on destination and is not included in the lead time — groupage delivery may add several working days. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on destination country and number of pallets.
Pickup. Free ex-works pickup at our warehouse (Bernate Ticino, MI, Italy) is always available at checkout.

The problem
Securing rolls on pallets for export has always meant wooden wedges and nails. It works, but it generates four daily problems on the shipping line.
Nails injure operators, damage forklift tyres on the floor, and leave holes in pallets that weaken them over time. Wooden wedges absorb humidity, split, and arrive at destination cracked. ISPM 15 phytosanitary treatment is mandatory for export wood, adding cost and lead time.

What KU10 is
KU10 — Patented nail-free wedge in recycled PP. Sub-€2 economy for one-way export shipping.
Highly innovative, safe and cost-effective roll chock. Ideal for replacing wood and nails in shipments thanks to low cost, strong grip on cardboard and easy positioning, while allowing pallet recovery after use. Also perfect for internal handling with rubber pads (KU10-2S). Modular, easy to handle and patented.

Why it works
Patented nail-free fixation. Friction teeth on the bottom grip soft surfaces under load. No tools, no fasteners, no risk of injury on the shipping line.
Economy unit cost. Sub-€2 per wedge (€1.19 current list price). Lower total cost than ISPM 15 treated wooden wedges including labour.
Recycled PP material. Manufactured from recycled polypropylene. Recyclable in standard polyolefin streams. No phytosanitary treatment required for international shipping.

Q: How many wedges do I need per roll?
A: Standard configuration is two wedges per roll, one on each side. For heavier or larger-diameter rolls, contact ROLL for a configuration recommendation.
Q: Does KU10 require phytosanitary treatment for export?
A: No. KU10 is plastic and is not subject to ISPM 15 phytosanitary regulations that apply to wooden packaging materials. This saves treatment cost and lead time.
Q: Is KU10 reusable?
A: Designed primarily for one-way shipping, but it survives 2-3 cycles in mild handling conditions. For multi-cycle internal warehouse use, see the KU04 series with rubber pads.
